The accommodations at Quinta Bonita are spacious, comfortable and full of Portuguese charm. Each individually designed bedroom has its own character, an ensuite bathroom, air conditioning, and a private terrace or balcony. Beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces throughout the property give us plenty of room to gather together, while still offering quiet corners to relax, read, or simply enjoy a little time to yourself.Â
Located in Lagos on the Algarve coast, this unique family-run boutique hotel has breath-taking panoramic ocean views and is the oldest operating property in the area. Allow yourself to unwind in our comfortable hotel that combines traditional charm and modern luxury, nestled amongst idyllic surroundings. All rooms have private terrace or balcony with table & chairs from which to enjoy the beautiful gardens and sparkling ocean views.
All rooms have personal items from the lifelong travels of the owners â batiks from Indonesia, paintings from Sydney markets, porcelain antiques from Northern Portugal and wooden statues from Africa. Individually designed by the mother and daughter of the family each room has a carefully chosen combination of designer fabrics, artwork and personal touches.
Sink into one of our beautifully decorated rooms, each named after one of the gorgeous local beaches. This is a place that soothes the soul and rejuvenates the spirit, making you feel at home instantly. From our lovingly-tended Italian garden to the outdoor yoga shala overlooking rolling hills, each space offers the opportunity to appreciate the tranquility of Southern Portugal. It is a calm oasis in a busy world. Buffet brunch and afternoon tea with cake are served daily along with local fare including fresh baked bread, eggs, and wine.
Zavial - Master Suite
Our biggest room, named after our favourite South Coast beach, using the classic Portuguese colors of white& blue. Zavial now enjoys a Balinese style four poster bed, separate lounge area and spacious bathroom with spa bath. A great choice as a special treat with beautiful sea views from your private boungainvillea clad balcony.

Our biggest room takes the name of the owners favorite West coast beach. The earthy tones reflect the abundant nature outside and the room enjoys a large terrace above the ponds looking out South West towards the bay of Praia da Luz which is the perfect location for that end of day G&T!

The master bedroom of the original house and a firm favorite with many of our regulars, this ground floor sea view room is the most traditional in terms of dĂŠcor taking inspiration from rich Algarvean gold and blue hues. With an exquisite original azulejos bathroom, where every tile was painted individually by hand â even the ceramic basin. The room opens out on to a large ground floor terrace with direct access to the pool and gardens.Â

During our week, Iâll be curating some wonderful excursions and cultural experiences so you can get a real taste of Portugal and the Algarve Coast.
Weâll explore some of the beautiful beaches and coastal towns nearby, wander the charming streets of historic Lagos, enjoy a meal at a traditional Portuguese restaurant, and experience more of the culture, food and natural beauty that make this part of Portugal so special.
There will be a lovely balance of adventure and downtimeâopportunities to explore and experience Portugal together, with plenty of time left to relax by the pool, enjoy Quinta Bonita, or do your own thing.
